Hello! My name is Liliana Gonzalez, and I am a family and marriage counselor licensed in Los Angeles, California with over 8 years of experience working as a clinical therapist in a community-based environment. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, compassion fatigue, peer relationships, and women's issues. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.
My counseling style is warm and interactive. I provide a safe, empathetic, and nonjudgmental space to help you reach your therapy goals. I build on your strengths, teach you tools, and provide support to further empower you.
Seeking help takes courage and strength. Congratulations on making the first step towards a positive change. It would be my pleasure to help you on your journey.
MA - Marriage and Family Therapy, Pacific Oaks College
I became a mental health professional because I saw a great need when I worked in the community as a case manager. I knew that I could do more and I focused on going back to school and achieving that goal for myself. I enjoy being a therapist and seeing people flourish and evolving one session at a time.
My interest outside of work is to engage in self-care as much as possible by reading a book, going on walks, and connecting with friends and family.
One of the things that supports my mental well-being is to focus on a routine that fits my lifestyle. Making sure that I am taking care of my nutrition and working out. Staying on a routine has helped me tremendously to help prevent mental exhaustion.
I recharge by spending quality time with my family and having great conversations.
