I consider therapy to be a collaborative process, emphasizing that each client is an expert on themselves. A strong, trusting relationship with clients is essential to identify and understand their specific challenges. I have experience with individuals, couples, and families. I work with people of various ages and life circumstances. I provide a comfortable space where clients can feel open to sharing their emotions, thoughts, and experiences without feeling judged or intimidated. I am realistic with my clients and cater to the level of engagement and type of support each individual seeks. I help clients achieve their goals by breaking them down into small manageable steps to increase motivation and feelings of accomplishment. When appropriate, I use humor and transparency as tools to relate to and strengthen my connection to my clients in an effort to normalize their struggles. Exploring early experiences and family dynamics is often key to identifying and changing problematic ways of thinking or behaving. My goal is to help each client recognize their self-worth, increase their confidence, and provide them with the necessary tools to act as their own therapist.

What are your interests outside of work?

I love spending time with my friends and family, particularly my new nephew! I love to play trivia games and I am a big fan of stand-up comedy.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your mental and emotional well-being?

Physical movement is an important part of my morning routine. Even if I don’t have the time or motivation to do a full workout, taking a few minutes to stretch each part of my body helps me start my day with more energy and positivity.

How do you recharge?

Taking breaks during the day to engage in a mindful walk or bike ride helps bring me back to a clear and calm headspace. I also try to get a healthy amount of sleep each night and I love spending time in the sun.

Do you have any pets?

I am a HUGE dog lover and have always wanted to get one of my own. This year I moved in with two friends who both have dogs (a Mini Goldendoodle and a Corgi), and their presence and unconditional love support my mental health and make them my favorite furry roommates!
