I believe that finding balance in life is important for overall health: mind, body, and soul. I practice mindfulness daily within my own life. Life is a journey that we experience moment to moment. My role as a therapist is to help guide my clients to learn to be present in the moment and to work towards closing the chapter/s on past moments which cause imbalance in their present lives. Be well and be kind to yourself.

I became a mental health professional to help others overcome their challenges and to live their lives more fully each day. My purpose in serving as a therapist is to help others heal from their past and learn to be more present in the moment and worry less about things outside of their control.
I enjoy spending my free time and weekends with my family. I enjoy biking, hiking, paddle boarding and vacationing with my family. We especially enjoy hikes that lead to a beach and/or waterfalls. I enjoy cooking meals and creating healthy desserts for my family.
I practice mindfulness each day when I awake by focusing my mind and energy on things present in my life for which I am grateful.
A current work-related book that I have read more than once is Build a Better Brain by Alan Floyd. I find the book to be very informative and insightful.
Big Brothers, Big Sisters program is one of my favorite non-profits as I was able to volunteer and positively influence the life of one young man that was in need of a positive male role model. The influence of one person can mean a world of difference to a youth.
I recharge by spending time to myself which includes going for a walk, road biking or going for a long drive. I meditate during the early mornings when it's most quiet in my household. I also enjoy listening to music and trying to sing along. Lastly, I enjoy journaling, doing free-writes and drawing.
