I am compassionate about how we experience the world as an individual and as a collective. I am a person-centered therapist who uses an integrated approach to therapy.

My Therapy Style

I have experienced the complexities of family relationships, stress and anxiety, grief and loss, phase of life changes, work-related issues, motivation, self-esteem, adjustment disorders, and of course persistent diagnoses as well such as depression. I am compassionate about how we experience the world as an individual and as a collective. I am a person-centered therapist who uses an integrated approach to therapy. Even though I pull knowledge from all theories and practices, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused-Brief Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy Mindfulness Practices and some Family Systems Therapy.

Get to Know Me

What are your interests outside of work?

When I am not offering sessions I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I take daily walks, enjoy hiking, site seeing, going to the movies, and cooking.

What book have you read more than once?

I have read and referenced The Mindful Therapist many times. I enjoy the combination of research and science-based evidence for certain therapy practices.

Favorite organization/non-profit?

The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) is my favorite non-profit organization. I really enjoyed attending NAMI meetings and NAMI 5k with my clients. I think NAMI provides so many resources to those with chronic mental and behavioral health issues as well as for the general public and individuals who support loved ones in recovery.

How do you recharge?

I recharge during my daily walks as well as finding fun and interesting shows to stream.

Do you have any pets?

I have two cats that are brothers and rescued from the East Valley Animal Shelter. I love that my cats keep me on time. I find I do not need an alarm because they will tell me when the sun is up or I have missed treat time. One of my favorite parts of the day is cuddling with one or both kitties.
