It takes courage to reach out and seek support, and my goal is to create a safe space to help people open up and find ways to approach issues that are causing distress.

My Therapy Style

I have been working with people that are negotiating changes in their lives for over 30 years. I believe that when people are at a crossroads in life, or suffering from depression, anxiety, trauma, or a loss, it can feel very overwhelming. I believe it takes courage to reach out and seek support, and my goal is to create a safe space to help people open up and find ways to approach issues that are causing distress.

My therapy approach is warm, interactive, and engaged. I utilize many different therapeutic modalities based on what works best for the person seeking therapy. I utilize evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I also use Mindfulness Training and values exploration in my work.

Get to Know Me

What are your interests outside of work?

I love to travel and can't wait for the world to open up again. I am a beach person, and enjoy being at the ocean. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends and trying out new recipes.  I like music, concerts and theater. I love walking the dogs and enjoying nature.

How do you recharge?

Weekend getaways, binge watching Netflix, laughing.

Do you have any pets?

I am a big animal fan. Currently I have 2 dogs. One is a 125-pound American Bulldog rescue who thinks he is a lap dog, and one is 25-pound Chug rescue who thinks he is a big dog. I am obsessed with Pugs and have been fortunate to have been able to live with two of them throughout the years. Growing up I spent summers in the country at my grandparents' house where we were fortunate to have horse, cows, pigs, sheep, goats and chickens to play with.
