Therapy is a natural fit for my personality. I have always been the person that people turned to talk to and I enjoy being that listening ear. I find it really rewarding to be able to help people improve their functioning and wellness.
I love and cherish my family above all else. I also love my pets and enjoy the outdoors, camping, hiking, and going to the beach.
I always take a moment to play with my animals. Each bring a different joy and they all get to have time with me every day.
The National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI) - I used to facilitate the Sharing and Caring portion of the monthly meeting for the San Gabriel Valley. I enjoyed being a part of the organization educating others about mental illness and participated in the annual walk every year.
I recharge by being sure that my off-time is spent doing enjoyable activities. I like to spend time with my family and schedule us to take vacations/weekend getaways every couple of months. The main point is to always to have something to look forward to. When I am feeling especially spent, I will schedule a massage and/or spend time soaking in the hot tub.
I have 7 pets currently: 3 dogs, 2 cats, 1 bunny, and 1 bearded-dragon. I have so many stories but one of my favorites is my 85-pound Golden Retriever diving in the ocean for his tennis ball and body-surfing his way back to shore.
