Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I’ve always been very empathetic, even as a young girl. I believe this part of myself, coupled with my personal healing journey, has created a passion in me to help guide others through their process of healing. In a world where so much is out of our control, empowering others to learn we all can overcome tremendous adversity and achieve emotional well-being is an experience I value and embrace.

What are your interests outside of work?

I enjoy walking my dog and spending time in nature. I also love to read, drink coffee and spend time with family and friends. More than anything else, I love spending time with my son doing all kinds of different things- sometimes things well outside of my "comfort zone." Playing with him keeps me both grounded and energized.

Favorite organization/non-profit?

My beloved cousin recently achieved her lifelong dream of opening a non-profit to support wildlife preservation. I am incredibly proud of her achievement and support her organization, Wild Deschutes.
