Therapy isn’t always easy, which is why feeling comfortable and safe with your therapist is most important to your success. I take a collaborative approach in therapy, starting where you are and working together to make positive changes. You are in the driver's seat and help to establish meaningful goals for your treatment.
As a trauma-informed therapist, I also consider the biological perspective of mental health and the important role of our mind-body connection. This means developing adaptive skills to help you calm your body and mind to help you cope with life’s challenges. I practice strengths-based, person-centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, TF-CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, and EMDR.

I enjoy hiking, spending time with my family and two dogs, and watching movies.
I try to remember one thing each day that I am grateful for, and one thing each day that helped me to feel productive or accomplished... even if that one thing is as simple as getting through a rough day.
I really enjoy reading anything by Brene Brown. Her books are so insightful and encouraging at the same time.
There are so many organizations and non-profits that are doing great work and hold a special place in my heart. One that I can pick as a "favorite" would be NAMI, because they provide valuable and much needed mental health resources to families.
I have two dogs, a 12-year-old chocolate lab and a 6-month-old standard poodle. I also have a 12-year-old grey tabby cat who weighs nearly 20 pounds and thinks he's a dog! My pets are my fur babies and provide so much love, comfort and joy.
