My goal is to help people to view challenges in life as opportunities to feel empowered and become more evolved as a whole and complete person.

My Therapy Style

My approach to therapy is fully based on the belief that everyone has the innate and natural ability to improve themselves. I use an integrated approach that helps people to challenge and unravel any unhealthy thought patterns that may be disempowering them in any way. I believe the relationship that a person has with themselves is the most important relationship because it ultimately determines how they experience life and the world around them. This explains why my approach is always focused on fostering self-worth, self-esteem, and resilience. My goal is to help people to view challenges in life as opportunities to feel empowered and become more evolved as a whole and complete person. I utilize the mind-body connection to facilitate healing and remove any blocks that are preventing people from being their authentic self and living the life they want to live.

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I became a mental health professional because I enjoy helping others by being present along their journey of self-realization. It is an honor to show up for people and help them to remember how powerful they really are! I believe that we are in charge of our own happiness and I like to strive for people to experience inner freedom and peace.

What are your interests outside of work?

Spending time with family and friends, reading, comedy, and exploring different foods and places. I also like to explore healthy ways of living.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

Practicing daily meditation is key to keeping me grounded and centered.

What book have you read more than once?

A Thousand Names for Joy (Living in Harmony with the Way Things Are) by Byron Katie. This book really sheds light on how the way we think determines the kind of life we live. It provides powerful insight about how to go with the flow of life and live with an open mind and free spirit.

Favorite organization/non-profit?

American Counseling Association. It has been very helpful for me in keeping up to date with different strategies that I can use to incorporate in my approaches.

How do you recharge?

I recharge by doing things by going outside and embracing the fresh air and making sure that I always take to do a mental/emotional check in with myself in the morning when I get up and before I go to sleep at night.
