I will help you gain greater self-knowledge, to overcome self-limiting behaviors and to face barriers in achieving your goals.

My Therapy Style

As a therapist, I develop a collaborative relationship through which to address areas in your life that are in need of change. Whether one is dealing with a painful experience or are seeking new perspectives, I will help you gain greater self-knowledge, to overcome self-limiting behaviors and to face barriers in achieving your goals. I will listen attentively while actively helping you to develop techniques and skills for coping with life’s challenges. I take a holistic approach that focuses on the whole person, including biological, psychological, and social concerns. Through the use of evidence-based practices, my clients frequently experience a reduction in symptoms early on in treatment.

I have over 8 years of experience and have received training in cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care, and psychodynamic approaches. I utilize methods that fit best for you, including mindfulness, coping-skills building, and creative expressive techniques. I provide a range of strategies for addressing anxiety, managing stress, and improving functioning in life, work, and relationships.

I work with individuals with an array of concerns, including addiction, depression, anxiety, and relationship issues. Clients may be struggling with the lingering impact of trauma or with current life stressors. Therapy may include exploring questions around identity, family of origin issues, or career and life goals. I support anyone who is seeking to improve their relationships, to develop greater self-knowledge, and to find new strategies for coping with life’s challenges.

I love film, art, and music. Before becoming a therapist, I studied painting and sculpture. I love to visit museums, see live shows, or check-out a movie.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

Each night, I try to set aside sometime to get lost in a good novel. Right now I am on a science fiction kick.

How do you recharge?

I go for walks, listen to music, and try new restaurants in the city.

Do you have any pets?

I have an orange cat named Rick! He is very friendly and might show up on camera every once in a while.
