Collaboratively, we will develop and identify unique coping strategies to help increase the likelihood that you live the life that you want to live.

My Therapy Style

With over two decades of experience, I have learned that healing and change is a process that is unique to each individual. In counseling, we will walk this journey together by identifying, exploring, and working through our experiences and challenges. Whether you experience depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, behavioral addictions, trauma, extreme stress, etc., we will explore ways to manage thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and sensations associated with your life circumstances. Collaboratively, we will develop and identify unique coping strategies to help increase the likelihood that you live the life that you want to live.

Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I started working in the behavioral health field many years ago because I wanted help others. Through my years of training and experience, I developed an even stronger desire to act as an agent of change to help provide support.

What are your interests outside of work?

I enjoy exercising, outdoor activities, and spending time with family and friends.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

Daily, I take time to be mindful of the present and channel my thoughts toward what matters most. I try to take a daily inventory of the different areas of wellness and set value-based goals to improve life balance.

What book have you read more than once?

The book that I gain insight from is entitled The Happiness Trap by Russ Harris. I like reading the book, because it provides good insight on ways to increase flexibility by accepting the moment, getting distance from unhelpful thoughts, and working toward a purposeful and value-based life.

Favorite organization/non-profit?

Although there are many different important non-profit organizations, the Mental Health Association (MHA), National Association for Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC), and National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) have made major contributions to helping and supporting individuals.

Do you have any pets?

I like pets and have a loving dog named Phoebe.
