I want to ensure people feel comfortable and safe as they start the process of growth.

My Therapy Style

I have a warm and open approach to meeting people where they are and focusing on what they would find most helpful in therapy. I want to ensure people feel comfortable and safe as they start the process of growth. It is important to understand each person's background and goals and then work collaboratively to apply the best practices and research from the field to help people find the healing and development they are searching for in a partnership. I believe that support, healing, and change are possible and happen.

Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I love to see the change that happens for people when they can clarify and resolve things internally. I wanted to learn the tools and strategies to help people find healing and peace after difficult times. To connect with themselves and tap the infinite power and strength people have for growth, resiliency, and change.

What are your interests outside of work?

I love the feeling of peace that comes from being outside in nature. Biking, hiking, or being on the beach hearing the waves all bring me calm and connectedness to the larger world. I love to read and immerse myself in the knowledge and storytelling of others.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

One of the strongest strategies to support my well-being is to find a balance of connection to the community and people while also finding time to reflect alone. I check in with a therapist as well and find it helpful to gain insight that way.

Favorite organization/non-profit?

One of my favorite non-profits is the International Rescue Committee. They support people all over the world impacted by humanitarian disasters. I believe as humanity we should care for each other, especially in times of need. The work they do has a direct impact on basic needs and support for people who are snuggling with natural disasters and war-torn environments.
