I work collaboratively with you to determine the changes you want to see in life and address your concerns at a pace that feels the most natural to you.

My Therapy Style

I work with clients who may be struggling with feelings of shame, depression, anxiety, trauma, and disordered eating behaviors that are affecting their quality of life, relationships, sense of identity, and self-esteem. I work collaboratively with you to determine the changes you want to see in life and address your concerns at a pace that feels the most natural to you. I use a mix of techniques to help address how certain patterns of thoughts and beliefs may be impacting your behaviors and help you to improve acceptance of complex emotions that can often result from trauma(s). I am eclectic in my treatment approach.

Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I have been drawn to psychology and mental health since I was a high school student. Psychology was my favorite subject, as it paired my curiosity about people and how they are shaped to be their present selves, with medical science. Unbeknownst to me at the time, learning about psychology, criminology, and later mental health counseling, allowed me to better understand my struggles and traumas, and how impactful therapy can be in healing. I'm very grateful for my career, as it allows me to connect to others authentically and empathetically, and I think that everyone deserves that space of non-judgment and vulnerability.

What are your interests outside of work?

I love spending time with my dog, Niblet, and love taking him out for walks or outings with me. I enjoy cooking, listening to music, watching or reading horror/thriller movies, shows, and books, and playing the video game Stardew Valley. I enjoy traveling, exploring new cities, and hiking when I can too.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

I am intentional about spending time with my dog every day and try to practice some sort of joyful movement (such as walking). I also blast music in my car ride home every day to help me process emotions and/or boost my mood.

How do you recharge?

I recharge in various ways — I can be introverted at times, so I usually reserve at least one day during my weekend to sleep in/nap, cook my favorite meals, be in some type of nature, or just focus my attention on a show, movie, or video game. If I am feeling more social, I hang out with friends, explore new restaurants and cafes, or go thrifting.

Do you have any pets?

I currently have a dog named Niblet and my favorite pet story is that before bringing him home from the rescue, I had made a list of over 50 dog names only to end up keeping his already given name since no other name was as creative or as fitting.
