One of my favorite quotes in life is “Be the change that you wish to see in the world.” I believe that every person on earth has a gift, a talent, or something unique that they can offer and use to change their lives, their community, and eventually their environment. Lexi is my precious 5-year-old Wheaten Terrier. When she was 3 years old, my husband left the house, not knowing that she followed him outside. He got into his car and drove off. Poor Lexi was locked out of the house and waited patiently by the door. When I went downstairs about 40 minutes later, I noticed that Lexi was outside, peeking in through the window with a “let me in” look on her cute face! There was no gate or fence, and Lexi could easily have wandered off down the street. Smartly, she knew to stay put and wait for someone to notice her. She knew where her family was and where the good life was!
