My Therapy Style

Life is hard! My goal is to work together with you to help you get unstuck from painful thoughts or relational patterns that are no longer helpful. I believe therapy is a collaborative process between two people where together we explore problems, new understandings, and adaptive coping skills for a more fulfilled and authentic life. I work from a Strength-based and Psychodynamic approach to all mental health concerns in adults. I focus especially on anxiety, depression, stress, grief, and family conflict.

Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I became a mental health professional because I realized through my own unique life experiences that I had something to offer to others who were struggling.

What are your interests outside of work?

Outside of work, I try to exercise several days a week, whether it's a quick jog, cross-training, or a leisurely walk. I also enjoy distracting myself with a good podcast or watching a documentary. I enjoy the beach, the mountains, white water rafting and spending time with friends and family.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

I believe it is important for mental and physical health to find balance in life. Life's demands can tip that balance sometimes. One thing I do daily that supports my mental health is spending time with my pets. Petting and playing with my animals helps me to relax and discharge the events of the day.

Favorite organization/non-profit?

My favorite organization is St Jude's for Children or any organization that provides financial coverage/ care to families who have children with a serious medical diagnosis.

Do you have any pets?

I have one dog and three cats. I am always cheerfully greeted and welcomed home by my pets. Pets love us unconditionally!
