My Therapy Style

I have spent the majority of my career working with individuals from all walks of life who are struggling with addiction. I am passionate about walking alongside people on their journey to reevaluate their relationship with substances, as well as finding and maintaining sobriety.

My personal life experience paired with my counseling experience has prepared me to be able to offer empathy, support, and encouragement to those who are currently struggling. My style is collaborative; I believe you are the expert in your own life and I am here to offer feedback, tools, and skills to help you see a different perspective of your experience. I am also here to help you brainstorm solutions and discuss ways to overcome daily life challenges.

Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

After struggling with my own mental health challenges, I felt called to join in on the solution. I have been honored to get to walk alongside others in their struggles and get to see them heal and grow, which is where my true passion lies.

What are your interests outside of work?

I am a huge nature person so I am normally outside on walks or playing sports. I love to bake and sourdough bread has become my new obsession. I'm a big reader and spend a lot of time with family, friends, and at church.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

The one thing that is crucial for me to maintain my mental health is to get up and move around daily. Sometimes this is an intense workout, other times its a walk with my dog. Just doing something to move my body always elevates my mood!

What book have you read more than once?

The Bible, it has so much history, knowledge, and wisdom for daily living.

How do you recharge?

I love to recharge by cooking dinner for family and friends and enjoying insightful or silly conversations!

Do you have any pets?

I have a 12 year old Chihuahua named Lily and she is sweet and calm, she sits on my lap during most counseling sessions!
