My Therapy Style

My practice is deeply rooted in compassion and empathy, and I specialize in supporting individuals, couples, and families grappling with various challenges such as trauma, anxiety, panic disorder, OCD, depression, and eating disorders. Central to my approach is the integration of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). These proven techniques offer practical tools for managing difficult emotions, challenging negative thought patterns, and cultivating mindfulness and self-compassion. I also incorporate elements of humanistic and existential approaches.

Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I entered the mental health field driven by a profound belief that our experiences shape us and that everyone deserves the opportunity to heal and reach their full potential. Our journeys are uniquely intertwined with moments of joy, pain, and growth, and it is through understanding and compassion that we can navigate these complexities together. In a society where mental health challenges are often stigmatized and misunderstood, I am committed to breaking down barriers and promoting a culture of acceptance and support. By providing individuals with the tools and resources they need to navigate life's challenges with courage and grace, we can cultivate a more compassionate and empathetic world for all to thrive in.

What are your interests outside of work?

Spending time with my family, being outdoors, and community work.

What book have you read more than once?

Metamorphosis. As a mental health therapist, I find Metamorphosis to be a compelling exploration of the human psyche and the complexities of identity and alienation. A vivid depiction of the experience of grappling with mental health challenges and the profound impact they can have on one's sense of self and relationships. The themes of isolation, existential angst, and the struggle for acceptance resonate deeply with my clients who may be navigating similar experiences in their own lives.

Favorite organization/non-profit?

Any organization involving rescuing animals. My support for organizations involving animals stems from a belief in the inherent value of all living beings and a recognition of the profound impact that animals can have on our mental and emotional well-being.

How do you recharge?

Working out, listening to easy music, and attending services.
