Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I've always wanted to work in a field where I could make a difference in people's lives. Getting a graduate degree in psychology and Mental Health Counseling License opened up many opportunities to make a significant impact on others.

What are your interests outside of work?

In my free time, I enjoy snorkeling. I also love dancing, singing, and playing violin and piano.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

I walk on the beach and swim in the ocean.

What book have you read more than once?

The book that I have read more than once is Viktor Frankl's Man's Search for Meaning. Through this book, the author chronicled his experiences as a prisoner in Nazi concentration camps during World War II and conveys a message that the meaning of life is found in every moment of living, even in suffering. My favorite quote is the following: "Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms—to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances …"
