Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

After doing years in the health food and wellness industries it became very apparent to me that the majority of illness starts in the emotions, spirit, and mind. I turned my professional focus to gaining training and certifications so I could take a deeper and more comprehensive approach to facilitating wellness.

What are your interests outside of work?

I enjoy swimming, hiking, rollerskating, and dancing as forms of exercise and fun. I am a certified raw food chef and trained in many other approaches to cooking so creating great meals and sourcing good healthy ingredients is always top of mind for me. I am currently learning many things about remodeling and rehabbing a building and am also in the early stages of learning German. I love music, ballet, and arts so recreational time is finding me at performances or art exhibits on the regular. I will soon be bringing a poodle puppy into my life, so that will be a major focus of bonding and training :)

What book have you read more than once?

Atomic Habits is my most recent double read. Excellent approach to creating the habits that actually create results and are sustainable.

Favorite organization/non-profit?

SIREN. It is run by a former colleague and does an amazing job in helping with immigrant's rights and advocacy.
