My Therapy Style

Are you struggling and feeling overwhelmed by your emotions? I can help. The relationship between you and your therapist is incredibly important. My clients love working with me because I'm warm, quick-witted, and honest. Your counselor shouldn't be a stoic partner, they should be fully engaged and connected to you. As therapists, we are privileged to walk alongside you through your darkest times, hear your inner thoughts, and share in your triumphs. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as other treatment modalities to help you focus on proactive change that gets you focused on living your best life now.

Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I pursued a degree in mental health counseling when I discovered that my passion for helping others had made me a magnet at social and community gatherings I attended. My personal losses and battles had uniquely equipped me to be empathetic and compassionate to those who were struggling. I truly love what I do and hope that my clients feel my commitment and care in the work that we do together.

What are your interests outside of work?

I enjoy traveling with my husband and three sons, reading, singing, lifting weights, and training for triathlons in my spare time. I've been all over the world and lived in France and Brazil, but there's still so much more I want to see!

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

Working out or being physically active every day is absolutely crucial to my mental, physical, and emotional well-being. I also make time to sit in quiet to read or drink a cup of coffee outside which helps me to stay centered and connected to my body.

Favorite organization/non-profit?

Advocates for the Homeless and Those in Need (AHTN) is an organization I have spent many hours volunteering for both to prepare and serve meals to the community as well as spend the night assisting at their Code Blue shelter. The lack of affordable homes and the state of the inflating economy has made it increasingly difficult for families to provide adequate meals and a safe environment for their loved ones.
