Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I became a mental health professional to support individuals in finding happiness, nurturing relationships, and enjoying sexual intimacy. My passion for psychology and philosophy drives me to help others discover meaning in life, fostering a compassionate environment for healing and growth.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

I love to read, go to dance, run, and volunteer.

What book have you read more than once?

I've read The Name of the Rose by Umberto Eco multiple times. Its intricate blend of historical fiction, mystery, and philosophical themes captivates me. Each reading offers new insights into medieval culture, the power of knowledge, and the timeless struggle between faith and reason.

Favorite organization/non-profit?

San Francisco Suicide Prevention Hotline is my favorite organization because it provides crucial support to those in emotional crises, helping prevent suicides. As a volunteer, I experienced firsthand their dedication to saving lives, making a significant impact in the community.

Do you have any pets?

Yes, I have two wonderful dogs: Mariana, a Chihuahua, and Salvatore, a Dachshund. One of my favorite stories is when they teamed up to try to escape the backyard. Mariana attempted to dig a small hole, and Salvatore squeezed through, in an attempt to an adventurous chase around the neighborhood!
