Together we will explore how your moods, feelings, and behaviors are all connected.

My Therapy Style

I became a therapist because I enjoy connecting with people and honoring their story. My goal is to create a safe and non-judgmental space to provide support as we explore better ways of coping, strategies to manage stress, and improve communication. Through reflection we are able to set goals and problem solve together as we increase insight and awareness of your experience. Together we can work to find an improved life balance, satisfaction and greater sense of well-being.

My therapeutic process is centered on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness-based Cognitive therapy with a strengths based - solution focused approach. I am also trained in EMDR for treating trauma and other emotional difficulties.

Get to Know Me

What are your interests outside of work?

My first love is music, going to concerts, and discovering new music. I like exploring my own city, going to cultural events, eating good food, and visiting museums.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

I have to move every day to support my own mental and emotional well-being. I like to go for walks and do yoga. I always feel better when I am done.

What book have you read more than once?

The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. This book is a great reminder to connect to my inner self and remember it is about the journey, not the destination.

Favorite organization/non-profit?

For years, my friends and I would donate to organizations instead of exchanging gifts for the holidays. My favorite organization is the UCLA People-Animal Connection. PAC brings animals to visit critically ill children and adult patients in the hospital and community settings. They are also available to the medical team and caregivers with 75 dogs and a miniature horse offering support.

How do you recharge?

I recharge by spending time with family, friends, and my dog. I also need time for myself. I have a large outdoor space in which I like to sit and drink coffee and garden in my certified monarch waystation.

Do you have any pets?

I have the most adorable rescue dog, Lincoln. We fostered him at around 4 weeks old. The shelter told us he would grow to be 60 lbs when fully grown. He ended up growing up to be 109 lbs! His DNA test shows he is a mix of Pit Bull, German Shepherd, and Irish Wolfhound.
