My Therapy Style

I believe a solid connection with your therapist is fundamental to growth through the therapeutic process. One of my strengths is my ability to connect with my clients by being empathetic, honest, and direct. I believe lived experiences shape who we are and I think we all have inner strengths. My goal is to get clients to see their strength through the therapeutic process. I can help you find meaningful relationships or help you through struggles with self-esteem or self-love. I will help if you feel like you excel professionally but personally never seem to feel like you are enough. Or perhaps, you would like to understand how lived trauma and/or generational trauma may be affecting you.

As an immigrant from Central America, I am all too familiar with the cultural and sociological challenges that can consume our daily lives. I also recognize that simply seeking therapy can be viewed as weakness or frailty. However, I believe the ability to discard those misguided myths and seek help show that you already possess the necessary strength to face your fears and start that healing process.

Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I always wanted to see how I could help people in meaningful ways. I recognized my Latina culture has not always been open to therapy due to different reasons. My hope is that I can always make a difference with anyone that comes in contact with me. I continue educating people on the importance of addressing issues that could be affecting our daily lives by engaging with a good therapist. I love to help and see the growth people undergo during the therapeutic process.

How do you recharge?

I always try and get at least 8 hours of sleep a night. I try to eat healthy and of course spend time with the people that I love and are good for my mental health. Coffee is a must in the mornings.
