Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I chose the mental health profession because I am passionate about helping others navigate their challenges and lead fulfilling lives. Witnessing the transformative power of therapy and counseling first-hand inspired me to pursue this profession. I believe in the power of genuine connection to heal wounds and bring about positive change.

What are your interests outside of work?

Outside of work, you'll often find me soaking up quality time with my favorite people, my energetic kids, my husband, and my dog. Whether we're exploring local trails, going on hikes, or simply enjoying a leisurely walk around the neighborhood, being outdoors and active with my family is where I find my joy.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

One daily ritual that truly anchors my mental and emotional well-being is the practice of setting healthy boundaries and embracing the power of 'no.' In a world that often glorifies busyness and perfectionism, I've learned that it's essential to prioritize my own needs and values. By saying no when necessary and accepting that things don't always have to be perfect, I cultivate a sense of balance and self-compassion in my life. This practice not only preserves my energy and focus on what truly matters but also allows me to show up fully present and authentic in both my personal and professional interactions.

How do you recharge?

When it comes to recharging, I love immersing myself in the outdoors or surrounding myself with the warmth of friends and family. Whether it's a casual hike, a walk in the park, or a weekend, being in nature rejuvenates my spirit and clears my mind. And there's something truly special about sharing laughter, stories, and good food with loved ones that fills my heart. So, you'll often find me seeking solace in the beauty of nature or basking in the love and connection of my cherished friends and family to refuel my energy and zest for life.
