I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) specializing in a wide range of difficulties including depression, anxiety, OCD, Trichotillomania, traumatic life experiences, and struggles with body image. My work with my clients is largely oriented toward Somatic (of the body) Mindfulness as a tool to help manage the distress often experienced with trauma and mood-related struggles. I approach my work from the perspective that increased self-awareness and Mindfulness coupled with the refinement of coping skills can assist us in finding more fulfillment and ease when managing our life stressors.
I put particular emphasis on self-esteem and self-reliance to empower my clients to access their own sense of safety, stability, and ability. I have additional training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Yoga Therapy, and I utilize tools from each when I am working with individuals in any capacity.
In addition to my clinical practice, I have ample experience assisting individuals to navigate various life stressors such as losing/seeking employment, accessing education, managing health crises, and struggles related to aging parents.

I know too well the negative impact adversity can have on a person's well-being. I am also familiar with how much healing capacity we have within us, and often all we need is guidance. I've had many wonderful guides in my life and I chose this field to help see our world move forward in the direction of wellness.
I love food. I love the outdoors, swimming, hiking, Yoga, exercise, fitness, essential oils, meditation, gardening, and animals (especially dogs).
I remember to breathe deeply.
Waking the Tiger by Peter Levine. I have read this book several times as it is a good reminder that we have our own innate abilities to heal. We were animals first :)
Any Non-profit that supports unhoused individuals in any capacity!
I recharge with movement, especially in wide open spaces outdoors with lots of hills and trees.
I do, I have a dog. The adventures are endless with her—she is one of my greatest teachers!
