My Therapy Style

Do you find yourself stuck in patterns of unhappy relationships, financial worries or feeling unsettled? I offer CBT tools to reframe negative thoughts, build self esteem, assertive communication skills and confidence and ways to transform core beliefs that cause overthinking . Listening to individuals through life's challenges, such as, loss of a loved one, or any transitional issue that brings on anxiety, depression, or any other imbalance. I specialize in grief and processing loss. I believe in meeting you where you are and guiding you towards empowerment and self worth. I am an interactive therapist creating emotional safety.

Get to Know Me

Why did you become a mental health professional?

I have a passion to help others in a meaningful way. I had my own journey of therapy, which helped me feel heard which led me to healing from traumas I had experienced and I wanted to do that for others.

What are your interests outside of work?

I love music, singing, walking, hiking, hanging out with good friends as well as I am an author completing my 3rd book.

What is one thing you do daily that supports your well-being?

I work out daily as well as walk a few times a day. I do grounding and breathing exercises as well as healthy eating and sleep well. I stay in touch with my only daughter almost on a daily basis who lives in New England and visit her whenever I can. I have a very healthy and loving partner and we are mutually supportive of each other. I have a loving family all living on the East Coast but stay in touch often.

What book have you read more than once?

The last book I read 2x was Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert as it reminds me to never give up on my dreams.

Favorite organization/non-profit?

My favorite organizations usually have to do with animals as I am a BIG animal lover!

How do you recharge?

I recharge by allowing myself down time as well as rest. I do my best to choose wisely the path of less stress!

Do you have any pets?

I used to have dogs but they passed. My latest pet story is of a cat we had named Mowis. Mowis used to hang out with me all the time since I work virtually and when I would work out, Mowis would lie on the bed looking at me and I bet he was saying "Better you than me" Mowis also liked to sit in things such as open suitcases, open dishwasher or my laptop!!
